Gulf x Williams Esports Partnership

In 2023, we entered a new partnership with Williams Esports, making Gulf's first foray into the world of online gaming and the next evolution for our motorsport legacy.

Williams and Gulf share a rich heritage within racing and have made this partnership possible through a bold and innovative approach to racing. We intend to play a meaningful role in the future of motorsports through esports.

How to slash your lap time

We’ve teamed up with Formula 1 Esports driver Álvaro Carretón as he shares his expert knowledge and skills with sports presenter Kyle Walker. Together, they dive into the intricacies of mastering the iconic Silverstone circuit on the racing simulator. Álvaro walks Kyle through each turn, straight, and braking zone, offering valuable insights into how to approach this legendary track with precision and speed.

Don't miss out on Álvaro's top tips and strategies for shaving seconds off your lap time and improving your own track performance.

Fans’ Choice Bolder Than Bold Livery

Last year, we launched the Gulf Fan Livery Vote with Williams Racing, giving fans the chance to vote for their favourite Gulf livery to see race at the Singapore, Japan, and Qatar Grands Prix.

In June, the Bolder Than Bolder livery was announced as the winner at the Raffles Hotel in London.

This livery was all about the fans, and we wanted them to be the first ones to drive the Bolder than Bolder livery, even before Williams Racing drivers, Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant. At the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK, fans had the chance to see the livery in person on the WIlliams FW45, and to drive the car on the racing simulator around the iconic Silverstone track.

The Bolder Than Bold
Livery In-Game

September saw motorsport fans across the world access the Bolder than Bold livery from their home. EA Sports F1 released a challenge giving fans the opportunity to unlock the special Gulf livery by beating Alex Albon’s set time on the Singapore track

To celebrate a successful kick-off year in esports, we hosted the first ever Gulf Sprint Cup at the Williams Racing headquarters in Grove, UK. We welcomed 20 content creators that competed in 5 different races: Singapore, Las Vegas, Monza, Austria and Silverstone.

The event was hosted on the Williams Esports Twitch channel by Sky Sports presenter, Kyle Walker, bringing Gulf fans together online for a thrilling esports racing competition.

Congratulations to Matt212, the first winner of the Gulf Sprint Cup!
